Thanks to the sponsorship of Asian, European and North American laboratories and institutions, a certain number of grants will be offered to young scientists to attend IPAC'14.
Grants are for young graduate students under 30 years of age. They cover the registration fee and participation in all conference activities, together with a lump sum to cover local expenses. Limited contributions towards travel expenses will be available for the most needy students.
It is understood that students with grants present their work in the special student poster session on the Sunday afternoon preceding the conference, that they submit a contribution to the proceedings, and volunteer to act as scientific secretaries during one or two sessions.
Applications accompanied by reference letters must be made by using the on-line application form available via JACoW profiles and accounts at the IPAC’14 SPMS Conference Instance
THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS AND REFERENCE LETTERS IS
Wednesday, 4 December, 2013.
Questions about grants and applications may be addressed to the Coordinator, Christine Petit-Jean-Genaz.
Letters of support/references, signed by the Supervisor, Head of the Institute, Laboratory or University Department where the young scientist is working/studying, are required for each application, and must reach the IPAC'14 Local Student Grant Programme Manager, Bert Green by e-mail on the above deadline.
In addition, please consult the Accelerator Prizes page for details of the prizes offered to PhD and diploma students and for student poster presentations.
